On many occasions we have talked about the Nordic style decoration or Scandinavian, the one that, among other characteristics, tries Make the most of natural light, and uses light colors both on walls and floors in order to amplify the low light that the Nordic countries have during the day. We have also talked a lot about the industrial style decoration, which takes advantage of the elements of the structure of the building as decorative elements, as is the case with beams, columns, brick in sight, etc … In this article we will show you the result of the combination of Scandinavian and industrial style.
We loved this three-story house designed by the Architecture Studio INT2, where they have combined perfectly these two decorative styles that we like so much. In a few words we can say that the result is a perfect coexistence between Scandinavian and minimalist aesthetics and industrial elements and details.
Open kitchen to living and dining room with Scandinavian and industrial style
On the ground floor we have, among other dependencies, a integrated dining kitchen with living room, making the most of light and space. They have visually separated the kitchen from the dining area by a bar with sidewalks purely of industrial style. The wooden table matches perfectly with the wooden floor, and some decorative elements such as a huge painting and three lamps with a modern nordic air on the table.
Bedrooms with wooden floors and ceilings
Going up the stairs we find three bedrooms, one of them matrimonial, and a shared bathroom. On this floor the floors are also made of wood and the same happens with the ceiling, only that in the children’s rooms the ceiling has been painted. As you can see, natural light is always used to the fullest.
Leisure area and other facilities on the third floor
And as if that were not enough, this house, although not as big but very functional, has a third floor, which is a penthouse where we found a leisure area very complete, with LED TV, a library and armchairs. This environment also fulfills the function of reading space. We also found a bar for drinks, a small office and a small bathroom but with what it takes to not have to go down to the main bathroom that is on the second floor.
